Checked baggage
Number of baggage items allowed, weight limit, authorized content, and dangerous goods... Find out all you need to know about preparing your checked baggage in order to check in with ease.
Did you know? Since March 28, 2010*, the baggage transport rules for Air France flights are simpler and more beneficial to passengers: depending on your travel class, check 1, 2, or 3 baggage items weighing 23 kg or less each at no extra charge!
* If you purchased your ticket before March 28, 2010, the baggage allowance in effect is the one indicated on your Itinerary receipt.
Calculate your baggage allowance
If you exceed the authorized size or weight, or wish to bring an extra baggage item, you will need to purchase additional baggage allowance when checking in.
Note: for baggage weighing more than 32 kg/70 lb., prior authorization is required.
* Except for trips with first flight originating in Brazil. In this case, 2 checked baggage items of 32 kg each are allowed without charge in all travel classes.
Please note: for flights to and from Corsica, you may transport multiple baggage items as long as they do not exceed 23 kg/50 lb in total.
